“To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability…” Matthew 25:15

God knows you. He knows your strengths, your capacity, your current maturity and He never entrusts more than you can handle. He’s not unfair, and He never compares you to the next person. What He places in your hands is intentional. What matters most isn’t how much you’ve been given, it’s what you do with what He gave.

When the master returns in Jesus’ parable, he gives the same response to both the servant who doubled five talents and the one who doubled two:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Not “famous,” not “impressive” but faithful.

That’s what God is looking for, faithfulness and steady obedience that honors Him, even when no one is watching.

The third servant, the one who buried his talent explains why he did it:
“I was afraid… so I hid your talent in the ground.”

Fear has a way of shrinking our obedience. It whispers lies like, “You’re not good enough. You’re not ready. Play it safe.”
But the Kingdom of God isn’t built by the cautious.
It’s built by the faithful.

When fear becomes your guide, obedience takes a backseat. And that’s when gifts get buried. Callings go quiet. And potential stays locked underground.

But God is calling you to invest what He gave you.

That dream in your heart? It’s a seed.
That message stirring in your spirit? It’s a light.
That skill, that passion, that burden? It was never meant just for you, it’s meant to serve someone else.

Your gifts are not meant to be buried. It’s meant to build the Kingdom.

“To whom much is given, much is required.” Luke 12:48

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others…” 1 Peter 4:10

So, here’s your invitation:
Be faithful with what He has given you.
Trust in God.
God will multiply what you offer in obedience. He always does.

What He placed in your hands is meant to grow, multiply, and bless others because you’re faithful.

When the Master Comes to Settle Accounts

What Will You Have to Show? He’s Coming Back for What He Entrusted to You.

There’s a moment in the Parable of the Talents that’s easy to overlook but incredibly sobering:

“Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.” Matthew 25:19

After a long time. Not right away. Not the next day. But eventually, the master returned, and he came to see what had been done with what he had entrusted to them.

This verse reminds us: Stewardship always leads to accountability.

God doesn’t give gifts, assignments, or opportunities just for our benefit. He gives them with eternal purpose in mind. And one day, just like the servants in the parable, we’ll give an account for how we used what He placed in our hands. That’s not to make us fearful. It’s to make us faithful.

If the Master came today… what would you have to show?

  • Did you nurture what He gave you or bury it?

  • Did you say yes to His prompting or let fear talk you out of it?

  • Did you live distracted or devoted?

The beauty of God’s grace is that He gives us time.

And if you're reading this, it means there’s still time to realign. To start. To surrender. He’s asking for your faithfulness.

A Prayer for Today:
Lord, I want to be found faithful with what You’ve entrusted to me. Help me to live with eternity in view, not rushing, not delaying, but stewarding what You’ve placed in my hands. If You came today, I want to have something real to offer You. Strengthen my heart to say yes, again and again. In Jesus’ name, amen.

When the Master comes to settle accounts, may He find you faithful. Let’s live like we’ll see Him soon because one day, we will.

Testimony. Called to Write. Committed to Multiply.

Writing Sin the Great Joker was an act of that very faithfulness for me. I didn’t write it for applause. I wrote it because I couldn’t bury the message God stirred in my heart. It challenged me, convicted me, and pulled me into deeper surrender, and I believe it’s doing the same for others.

It’s fruit from a season of saying YES, even when it was hard. Even when it was quiet. Even when it felt like no one was watching.

And now, I want to invite you to be part of that faithfulness too:

If you haven’t yet read Sin the Great Joker, I encourage you to get a copy. Let it speak to your heart and strengthen your walk.

If it blesses you, consider leaving a meaningful review.
Your words may be the reason someone else decides to pick it up and their life may never be the same.

And if you’re a giver—sow a copy into someone else’s hands.
Maybe there’s someone in your life who’s hungry for truth, or someone quietly struggling. A single book, given in faith, can water a seed God is already growing in their heart.

The servant who buried his talent let fear win.
But the ones who multiplied what they were given?
They stepped forward in obedience and received the words we all long to hear:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Thank you for walking with me on this journey and for being a part of what God is doing through this book. It’s bigger than words on a page. It’s about lives being awakened to truth.

And that… is Kingdom work.

With eternal perspective,
Liz
